How to Apostille/Authenticate an FBI report

Once you have your FBI report from either the FBI agency or an  approved channelers or the then you are ready to have your report Apostille.


Now how do you get it Apostille ? It’s simple, there is only one place to get it Apostille and its though the U.S Department of State office of Authentications in Washington, D.C. This is a federal agency that handles all apostilles/authentications of all federal documents and documents needing Embassy Legalization.


The U.S Department of State Authentication office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am -9:00am (1 hour) to submit/drop off your document. They take an estimated 3-4 working days to complete the Apostille/Authentication, then once again you must go back to pick up your document between said times.


There are two other ways to get your documents Apostille/Authenticated in the event you can not physically present them your self.



  1. You can mail your document in, they can take a few weeks to a few months  to process documents so if you have time on your hands this is a option.
